Really cool song. The sound of it is pretty cool, although the mastering and mixing could've been a little better. You needed some reverb on some of the instruments and some were too loud or too soft. Lastly, my reason for the 8/10 is that all of this sounded like loops that may have been altered in some ways. If you want to get some good feedback and ratings and scores, AND if you're serious about making music, learn how to write original music and use those skills.

Nice song!
Loved the part where that lead came in where it starts soft and low in treble and works it's way up.
This song stayed exciting and even though it was a little long, I didn't get tired over it. Just the part with the synth beeping and fading out; I didn't like that much.
Besides that, this song is awesome.

Soft...lonely...fragile...lost...
Great song. The melody was great and the cords went in well with the rest of the song. It was just a little bit too empty to me. Parts I thought needed some cords to go along with it, and there is no really interesting rhythms. It was a little repetitive too.
With a little work, it's possible to fix all of those thing. Happy music making!

I'm back. Great song you made. The trumpet and harp are a very nice combination. The vocals added a nice touch and so did that...ding sound...I think it's a glockenspiel. The song is full of soothing melodies and great harmonies.
I was just sitting listening to it, letting it sink in.
Anyway, great song and keep up the MARVELOUS (cheesy sounding word) work!!!

No glockenspiel here my good sir, all music box, and some harp, though the more I think on it, the more it DOES sound like glockenspiel... strange, perhaps there's little built in glockenspiels into the music boxes?
In any case, i'm glad you were able to feel it's core, thats all I want from these pieces.

This song is truely a magnificant peace of work. This is really the type of things I want to make, I just don't have the best technology for it.
On my keyboard, you can't step record or do things like on ACID and such.
The strings give the song a base while the oboes and what I think is a panflute give it meaning and hope.
And yes, I'm still working on my ACTUAL final. I'll tell ya when I get it on here

I start off my songs with crappy synths, as that forces me to focus more on the melody over the fact that this instrument sounds really cool etc. Sometimes i'll go on a binge where I just think of the sound, and work off that, though those are not often.
As for your keyboard, yes I realize that would be a problem, if you could get a computer and connect your keyboard to it, and get software like FL, I think you could really do some crazy things.
I look forward to your real final, though it saddens me to think that it may be the last piece you submit. We'll see how that turns out!

I like this song a lot, it sounds pretty good. The vocals give the song a nice touch. I also like the trumpets.
The only thing is some of the quality on the instruments. A couple don't sound that realistic. It's definitly not a major problem though.
You definitly have talent. The thing is is that you could make music for orchestras and you could make some money off of them. Or do you?
That's the problem with Newgrounds. You just start submitting music and then after you got a lot of ideas on here, you figure out you could of made money off of this.
Anyway, good job. It's cool you made #1 on the top 5 for the week!

Thanks DeadEndRoad, there were indeed a few instruments that don't sound that realistic, but then again, when working with a pc as your studio, there are always fall backs.
As for making money off these tracks, nah. I make everything here for everybody to enjoy for free. I have no intentions of selling these stories and ideas, I want them to be heard and nothing more.

The song has a good idea. The piano, even though it could be turned down a tiny bit, is an important part of the melody.
As you said, it doesn't have great quality and the sounds and good enough. It sounds kind of cheap.
Besides that, I sure think it's a good idea for a song, just work on the touch and quality and you might be able to make some hits!
